We carry out office and commercial removals across the whole county from our Ashford depot, which sits close to the M20 and reaches Maidstone, Canterbury, Folkestone, Dover and the towns between them. A commercial move is planned around your operation rather than ours, and every one starts with a survey of your premises so the plan is built on what is actually there.

Being straightforward about how we work: much of our commercial work comes through tender and existing relationships rather than through the website, so we do not quote business moves online. Call us to talk it through, and we will tell you honestly whether we can fit your project and timescale.

Rather than a fixed package, a commercial move is scoped to the premises at the survey. In practice it can include:

Careful handling of office furniture, IT equipment and specialist items, with dismantling and reassembly where needed.
Full or partial packing by our own trained team, with all materials supplied.
Moves scheduled around your working week, including out-of-hours options where a daytime move is not practical, agreed at the survey.

Office Storage During Your Commercial Relocation

If your new commercial premises are not ready when you vacate your current site, our on-site Ashford warehouse provides secure container storage for office furniture and equipment. The facility holds up to 250 individual containers across 13,000 sq ft, with CCTV, intruder alarms and controlled access. We move your contents into storage at the point of clearance and redeliver when your new office is ready.

European Office Relocations

Stranks carries out European commercial removals from its Ashford depot, which is well placed for the Channel ports. Office relocations to France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and beyond are handled as full-load or part-load shipments by road. Customs and import guidance is included as part of the service.

This move itself was annoyingly prolonged due to a long key wait. We got the keys and access at 4pm in the end. At every stage of the move, Shane, Dan, Armond, John and then the other two (Joe? and another colleague) were professional,  friendly and extremely hard working. They even kept their efforts up when they found that we had only gone and bought a town house! The boxes destined for 'bed 1' were like the hot potatoes that no-one wanted to end up with! Still, everything got moved to the right rooms without an issue.

How is a commercial move priced?

Every commercial move is quoted individually after a survey of your premises. We do not quote business moves online, because the price depends on the volume, the equipment involved, the access and your timescale. The written quote sets out labour, transport and materials with no hidden extras.

How is commercial work usually arranged with Stranks?

Can you move outside normal office hours?

Where a daytime move is not practical, out-of-hours options including evenings and weekends can be arranged. Tell us your preferred schedule at the survey and we will build the plan around it.

Yes. Office furniture, IT equipment and specialist items are handled as part of the move, packed and transported to a plan agreed at the survey.

Are you accredited for commercial removals?

Yes. Stranks is a full British Association of Removers member with the BAR Advanced Payment scheme, and is certified to BS EN 12522, the British Standard for furniture removal services. We are also a Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman member and Checkatrade certified.

Do you cover European office relocations from Kent?

How far in advance should we book a commercial removal?

As early as possible. For larger office removals and commercial relocations, six to eight weeks notice is recommended to allow time for a thorough survey, specialist equipment planning and scheduling.
