Full Packing Service

Our team packs every room in your home, from kitchen cupboards and wardrobes to loft items and garden equipment. All boxes are clearly labelled by room so unloading and unpacking at your new property is organised and straightforward. This option is best for anyone who wants to hand the whole job over and arrive at a new home ready to unpack.

Part Packing Service

You pack the everyday items and our team handles the rest. Part packing works well for families who want to reduce the time and effort involved without paying for a full pack. You decide which rooms or item types to tackle yourself and our team takes care of everything else.

Fragile and Specialist Packing

For high-value, fragile or oversized items, our team uses specialist materials and methods to ensure safe transit. This includes glassware, crockery, lamps, televisions, artwork, mirrors and antiques. Bespoke timber crates are available for particularly large or valuable pieces.

How Our Packing Service Works

1. Survey and quote — We visit your property to assess volume, any specialist items and your packing requirements. A written quote follows with no obligation.

2. Packing day — Our team arrives fully equipped. We work room by room, packing and labelling each box systematically so nothing gets mixed up.

3. Loading and transport — Packed boxes are loaded safely onto our vehicles using protective equipment. Floor protection is laid throughout your home before any work begins.

4. Delivery and unpacking — At your new property, boxes are placed in the correct rooms based on labels. If you have booked an unpacking service, our team unpacks and removes all materials before leaving.

For moves with a gap between properties, storage is available at our 13,000 sq ft Ashford warehouse from £13.80 per week including VAT.

Do you supply packing materials?

Yes. All packing materials are supplied by our team and included in the quoted price. This includes double-walled removal boxes, bubble wrap, wrapping paper, tape, wardrobe cartons with hanging rails, mattress covers and bespoke crates for artwork or antiques. There are no hidden charges for materials.

Can you pack fine art, antiques and mirrors?

Yes. Our team uses specialist materials and methods for high-value and fragile pieces. Bespoke timber crates are available for particularly large or valuable items such as original artwork, oversized mirrors and antique furniture. Discuss any specialist items at the survey stage so they are factored into the plan and quote.

Do you offer an unpacking service?

Yes. Once your belongings are delivered to your new property, our team can unpack boxes, place items in the correct rooms and remove all packing materials. This can be booked as part of your removal package. Get in touch to include unpacking in your quote.

Can I book packing without a full removals service?

Our packing service is available alongside a Stranks house removal. If you are using a different removal company, get in touch to discuss your requirements and we will advise on what we can accommodate.

Is storage available if I need it during my move?

Yes. If there is a gap between your sale completing and your purchase being ready, your packed belongings can go directly into storage at our Ashford warehouse, which holds up to 250 individual containers. Storage starts from £13.80 per week including VAT. We redeliver when your new property is ready.

How far in advance should I book a packing service?

We recommend booking as soon as you have a confirmed or provisional moving date. Four to six weeks notice is ideal for most moves, and earlier in spring and summer when demand is highest. Get in touch to check availability and arrange a survey.
