All goods are loaded by our trained removers using our own fleet. Our own vehicles and team handle the full journey from Ashford through France and into Italy. From the Channel ports the route runs south through France and crosses into Italy via the Mont Blanc or Fréjus tunnel, then on to your destination, whether that is in the north around Milan and Turin, central Italy near Florence and Rome, or further south.
On arrival we unload and position your furniture and boxes room by room to your instruction. If you booked a full packing service at the UK end, we can also unpack at the Italian end on request, so you arrive to a home rather than a stack of boxes.

An Italy move spends longer on the road than most European routes, so packing standards matter: everything is wrapped and cushioned to hold up over a multi-day journey, including an Alpine crossing. We supply all materials and can dismantle and reassemble furniture at both ends. When our team packs your belongings, they are covered under our insurance from the point of packing.
Italian completion dates do not always line up with your UK departure. If there is a gap, our Better Value Safe and Secure facility at the Ashford depot can hold your belongings until Italy is ready. These restrict vehicle access to the old-town streets, often with camera enforcement and time windows, and they directly affect where a removal vehicle can stop and for how long. We check the ZTL rules for your delivery address at the survey stage and plan access, permits or a transfer to a smaller vehicle where the street cannot take a full truck.
Italy is an EU member state, so moving personal belongings from the UK to Italy now requires customs clearance. People relocating permanently can usually claim Transfer of Residence relief, which allows used household goods to enter the EU free of import duty and VAT if the residency and ownership conditions are met. This requires a detailed, valued inventory and documentation confirming your change of residence, submitted to the Italian customs authority (Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli).
