Part-Load and Full-Load European Removals
We offer two European removals options depending on the size of your move and your budget.
Full-Load European Removals
A full-load move means your belongings have exclusive use of the vehicle for the entire journey. This is the right choice for a complete household move — typically three bedrooms or more — where you want your items to travel directly from your UK property to your European destination without sharing space or going into a groupage depot. Faster delivery, less handling, more straightforward.
Part-Load European Removals
A part-load move is ideal for smaller moves — one or two bedrooms, a studio, or a partial household clearance. Your belongings share vehicle space with other consignments on the same route, which reduces cost significantly. Items are packed into individual containers and inventoried before loading. Delivery windows are slightly longer than full-load but the cost saving is substantial.

How a European Removal Works
1. Survey and quote — A surveyor assesses your property volume, access and any specialist items. A written quote follows.
2. Packing — Our team packs and inventories your belongings, or you can choose a for fragile or high-value items only.
3. Collection and UK depot — Your belongings are collected from your UK property and brought to our Ashford depot, where they are prepared for onward road freight.
4. Road freight — Full-load moves travel directly to your European destination. Part-load consignments are consolidated at a groupage depot and forwarded on the next available service to your country.
5. Customs and import — Our team guides you through any customs declarations, import documentation and destination-specific requirements.
6. Delivery and reassembly — Your belongings are delivered to your European property and our crew reassembles furniture as agreed.

Requirements vary by country and have changed for some EU destinations following Brexit, so it is important to discuss your destination at the survey stage. Yes. If you need items to remain in the UK before your European property is ready, or after your return, storage is available at our 13,000 sq ft Ashford warehouse, which holds up to 250 individual containers. Storage starts from £13.80 per week including VAT. We redeliver when you are ready.

Six to eight weeks is recommended for most European moves to allow time for a survey, packing preparation and customs documentation. For part-load moves on popular routes such as Spain and France, earlier notice secures a slot on the next available service. Get in touch as soon as you have a confirmed or provisional moving date.
